The area municipalities and utilities within Waterloo Region are partnering together to explore the idea of Harmonized Green Development Standards (GDS). The GDS is an essential step towards the Region’s commitment to climate change and managing the energy transition. This would align with work being done in other Ontario municipalities.
This GDS Design workshop will provide some education on the GDS as well as discussions on the process, categories, metrics, and incentives.
The session will be lead by WR Community Energy and offered in hybrid format (in-person and virtual). In-person attendance is encouraged as there will be interactive activities/roundtable discussions.
This session is open to municipal and utility staff only. Please register by Wednesday May 15, 2024.
